2 Texas Tech vs. 5 Oklahoma

This is the GAME OF THE YEAR. It decides Championship hopes. Tech wins 38-35.

14 BYU vs. 7 Utah

I can’t believe that the BCS Buster is a team that was UNDERDOGS to Michigan! BYU wins 27-17.

15 Michigan ST. vs. 8 Penn State

I want MSU to win for various reasons. But I know that PSU will win 45-20.

19 Cinnci vs. 20 PITT

I also want PITT to win because it’s the only way that West Virginia wins the Big East. PITT wins 27-25.

21 Oregon ST. vs. Arizona

Oregon ST. wins 39-10. Plain and simple.

The Halfway Point part 2

O.k., so, now this is how the playoffs are going to shape up.

NFC #1 seed: New York Giants

There is no doubt that the Giants are the #1 seed. Just think, a team winning back-to-back Super Bowls. That has only happened 7 times out of 42. They have great passing and good pass defense. But, they don’t have Brandon Jacobs. That could be a bump in the road to South Florida. Oh, and don’t worry, I’ll keep saying that city. NOT New York.

#2 seed: Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I know there 1 game behind right now. But Carolina has a tougher 2nd half. They are 8th in passing and 9th in total yards. But they too have lost there Running Back. It’ll be a long-stretch, but it will happen.

#3 seed: Arizona Cardinals

It sounds weird that they might even be on my first ever NFL Playoff picks, but they have pure talent. Pure talent. They are second in Passing, points, & Total yards. That’s incredible. The only squeak that doesn’t have them 10-0: Running.

#4 seed: Chicago Bears

It is between da Bears, Packers, andthe Vikings. Vikings have the tougher schedule. Da Bears have the easier one. They win by 1 game. Nice running game and hopefully they can score points.

#5 seed: Carolina Panthers

Should I say anything else? They probably will slip up near the end but there is no doubt they will make the playoffs.

#6 seed: Dallas/Washington

There will be a deciding factor of who will get the 6th seed. I’ll talk about that later.

AFC #1 Seed: Tennessee Titans

16-0! WOW! Maybe 2 years in a row that a team goes 16-0 in the Regular season. Unbelievable! GREAT EVERYTHING.

#2 seed: New York Jets

Like I said in part one, the Jets are for real with this Farve thing. Everything you need to know is in part one.

#3 seed: Pittsburgh Steelers

They have great defense and great coaching. They won 3-4 years ago… they’ll probably do it again.

#4 seed: Denver Broncos

They might be the worst 1st place team, but they sure don’t play like it. I love how they run the ball.

#5 seed: Baltimore Ravens

Great Defense. That’s how I remember them. Right now, they’ll need some key wins to win the division.

#6 seed: Miami Dolphins

Wow. 1 year ago, the Dolphins were 1-15. They won their only game in what I call “5th Quarter”. Redemption. Dolphin Redemption. Every Dolphin fan wanted this year to be 20X better. Redemption Complete.

WHAT??????????? I know. That’s what I said. A&M wins 10-9.

Depauw vs. Wabash

WHAT AGAIN?????????????????????? I KNOW! Depauw gets the upset 21-10.

Northwestern vs. Michigan

I have to say this really fast. M wins 30-27.

11 Ohio st. vs. Illinois

OSU wins 35-21.

Norte Dame vs. Navy

ND wins 45-20.

3 Texas vs. Kansas

Texas wins 59-30.

25 South Carolina vs. 4 Florida

Florida wins 27-24.

10 Georgia vs. Auburn

Geo wins 38-10.

16 North Carolina vs. Maryland

NC wins 30-20.

19 Florida st. vs. Boston College

FSU wins 34-27.

The Halfway Point… part 1

It is now time for the SPORTSMAN11 NFL MIDWAY POINT RE-CAP!Let’s start with the ups.

The UPS [not u-p-s]

Tennessee Titans: 9-0

I never knew that Kerry Collins can throw the football without throwing his back out first. The running game has slowed down, though. Only 10-15 yards verses the Bears. Also I like their D-Fense. I say they go 13-3.

Chicago Bears: 5-4 and Orton’s comming back!

Yes, Orton the great is coming back vs. the “Cheese Heads”. If you didn’t see the Bears-Titans game last week, PLEASE tell me you Tivo-ed it. Their pass defense stunk, though. But Forte can run again! Bears go 9-7.

New York Jets: 7-3 and what a win yesterday!

I was officially convinced that the Jets are for real with this Farve thing. They have it all! I think the Jets go 12-4.

The OTHER New York team[Giants]: 8-1 and DESTANATION: SOUTH FLORIDA[Super Bowl xliii]

That’s right everybody… It could be JETS-GIANTS in South Florida. Great d-fense and excellent coaching equals great season. 13-3.

And now it’s time for the downs.

Detroit Lions: 0-9 and there goin nowhere but down.

After a bad start I thought they would suck it up and finish 7-9. It could still happen… no. 0-16 is what I say.

Cincinnati Bengals: 1-8 and doing better.

Yeah, they started bad. Yeah, they just got their first win. No, they won’t go to the playoffs. But, they’ll go 4-12.

Seattle Seahawks: 2-7 and leaving me speachless each week.

I’m just surprised they have 2 wins. No Hassleback, I don’t think. No QB, No chance. 3-13.

Kansas City Chiefs: 1-8 and not looking great.

After an impressive win, they just went south from there. They also will go 4-12.

I know I didn’t post Picks on my blog this week. That is because I decided to take a bye week. I wanted to take a week off when I got 20 wins… and I did. Now I’m 20-17. But don’t worry. I’ll have TWICE the picks this week. 10 GAMES! The biggest pick-week EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

College Football picks

Last week I was 5-0. Now I’m 18-14.

1 Texas vs. 7 Texas Tech

I pick Texas to win because if you saw Texas Tech last week… You might as well just keep giving it to Colt. 63-57 Final. I’m not kidding.

8 Florida vs. 6 Georgia

This game will be under 30 points at least. Why? Because Georgia will win 27-3.

Northwestern vs. 17 Minnesota

This is the only other top 25 game that I find interesting. Gophers win 35-20.

West Virginia vs. 25 Uconn

Pat White I said will win the Heismen. I’m not giving up yet. WV wins 24-20.

24 Oregon vs. Cal

Oregon wins 45-21. Plain and simple.

I am 13-14. Ugh.

3 Penn State vs. 9 Ohio State

I like Penn State in this one. They might of just escaped the Maize and Blue last week, but they win 24-21.

6 Oklahoma State vs. 1 Texas

Once again, I pick Texas to win. I see a OKSU lead at half, but once again Texas will comeback and win 45-35.

7 Georgia vs. 13 LSU

I don’t care if people say that besides Wisconsin & Tennessee, Georgia is the most miserable team right now. They make it up by winning 7-6.

8 Texas Tech vs. 23 Kansas

Texas Tech will man handle Kansas 56-42 in a high scoring game.

Virginia Tech vs. 25 Florida State

FSU wins 35-10. Plain and simple

The last 3 weeks I was 7-8. I hope I get most of my picks right.

11 Missouri vs. 1 Texas

I like ol’ Texas in this one. Colt McCoy carries his team to victory. 42-38 in a close one.

12 Ohio State vs. 20 Michigan State

Javon Ringer runs all over the Buckeyes as MSU wins 17-13.

22 Vanderbilt vs. 10 Georgia

Georgia beats Vandy 27-10. How? However the SEC works: DEFENSE.

13 LSU vs. South Carolina

I’m going with the upset! SC wins 35-24.

Michigan vs. 3 Penn State

I hate to say this, but… THE MAIZE AND BLUE WIN 27-24 IN OT. PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
